Balesin: Beauty and Beyond

Picking out the location for your next getaway could sometimes be a dilemma. So why not visit Indonesia, Thailand, Greece, France, Spain, Italy, and our very own tropical paradise - the Philippines, all at once?

Sounds impossible, right? Not at Balesin Island Club!

This private island is conveniently located at Quezon province, which is accessible via a 20-minute plane ride from the Alphaland hangar. This self-sustaining paradise has 7 themed villas along with the latest: Balesin Royal Villas.

You can choose the country theme in which you can stay in. For our vacation, we opted to book a room at St Tropez village (which is the French-inspired portion of the island). It’s very colorful and tres chic! I love how rooms have varying color motifs. One room could be dominantly blue, while others are green, pink, and the like. Moreover, this side of Balesin has a nice and calm beach. Major plus is the beautiful sunrise that greeted us the following day!

A tour for all the villages can be arranged, however it is easily fully booked. So it is best to reserve your slots early. Nonetheless, you can still take the vans/golf carts/jeepneys that are of course - on call to take you around the beautiful island. Just advise their friendly staff when and where you want them to transport you.

Another Balesin favorite (and my personal favorite) is the Mykonos Village, which is a greek-inspired blue and white paradise. This is the best place to take your #ootd or #travel shots because the whole place is just picturesque.

For the sunset lovers, the Bali village should not be missed. You have several options to watch the breathtaking colors of sundown here: either lounge in their bar that is built on water, take a walk along the shoreline, or chill in their pools.

As for the foodie travelers out there, worry not about your cravings since all villages have their own restaurants and the cuisine they serve would be according to their theme. So you can have crepes for breakfast, a light Greek platter for lunch, then some spicy Thai food for dinner.

There’s still a lot more to do and see at this luxurious place. They have a spa, sports center, aviary, stables and the other villages that I was not able to visit. It’s definitely a perfect venue to spend a relaxing vacation. No wonder it has easily become a favorite among exclusive destinations.
