Hong Kong: Animated Academy, Disneyland

Growing up watching Disney animated films made me dream on becoming a part of the studio's creative team. These are the people who are behind the iconic cartoon characters that are well loved throughout the ages. Even if it's still a work in progress to reach that dream, I got to learn how to draw a Disney character in Hong Kong Disneyland's Animation Academy.

It's one of the first attractions you will see which is located at the Main Street, USA portion of the theme park. You don't have to be a formally educated artist or be someone with the artistic talent to draw because the academy will teach you the basic and simple techniques on how to draw your favorite Disney characters in just a matter of minutes! A pencil and a paper are provided and you get to use a drafting table lined in concave and you will be facing the instructor who will guide you with the quick and easy steps.

You can choose which character to draw by picking the schedule posted outside the academy. After the lesson, you get to keep your drawing as a souvenir. For my session, we were able to draw the funny snowman from Frozen, Olaf.
