Sumilon Island, Cebu: Aquamarine Sea
Surrounded by the vast sea in various shades of blue is Sumilon Island, Cebu.
Explore the island through Bluewater Sumilon Resort. Going here as a side trip - just a 15 minute boat ride - from Oslob was definitely worth it. The whole vicinity was full of various activities for our pleasure. One of them was sunbathing on the sandbar stretch which it is known for. Then a big part of the island was surrounded by a trail which I enjoyed trekking on though it was really rocky. From there I got to see a better view of the sea shore sparkling below. What a view it was and you could totally look at it all day! Hanging out by the cliff because my friends and I got tired was an unexpected fun too. Right after that tiring excursion, a dip in the infinity pool was so refreshing. But of course we didn't come there for the pool. Nevertheless we didn't want to miss the chance snorkeling in the aquamarine sea. The fishes and corals were abundant even if it was just by the shore. So happy to see a rainbow fish for the first time too!
There's so much more to discover on that island. Every inch of it was such a beauty!
